HP-16 collector uses the TB-I tube as the absorber tube, each glass tube is fitted with an aluminum contact fin which serves to be the heat transfer contact and also fixes the copper pipe against inner wall of the glass tube. The liquid in the heat pipe change into vapor by heating, the vapour goes up within the heat pipe.
